All our staff at Dog Guru have to undergo rigorous training before they are able to train your dog. Not only do they have to need experience when joining us but a lot also have a qualficiation. In addition to this all Dog Guru staff are taken through our internal training programme. This internal training programme is called our Mentoring Scheme.
Our training is very unique in that is has both personal and online learning. The personal meetings are designed to show our staff all the latest techniques when it comes to dog training and how it can help them in training your dogs. In addition to this staff are also encouraged to seek out new ideas and show them to us as we decide if we will use them in our training. Many of the games we play are due to this idea seeking. All our staff when employed are required to undertake numerous hours of training before we let them train your dog.
In addition to this all staff are required to do online training. This is a first in the world as it has been designed uniquely for all Dog Guru. This online training covers everything from using our intranet system to training and games. We have such high standards that for each module there is a test after each one where the pass rate is 85%.
Every trainer has the chance to move up depending on where they wish to go in the company. Every trainer starts from Dog Training classes and then over 12 months moves up towards a behaviour role. To become a behaviourist they would have done almost 400 hours of dog training and trained almost 500 dogs.
